Yeah abdessamad, I did not know “tamoucht” is better for a “kitty” than a cat… But you remind me about the fact that it can mean the “black” color, as “amoushshay” means black too, right? Is it the feminin form of it?
hehe ! ok so u can figure it out now ! hmm amoushashy ! i can’t even pronounce this properly . could u plz respell it
I said : Amooshay, wich a strong prononced “sh”, doubled “sh” or whatever
yeah ! that one makes sense ! it’s black in some areas ! personnally i don’t use that word i have my special words for black
Hmm, share some
hmm I would use Idili or Asgan to refer to sth black !
That’s nice, I’ve never herd about them before, thank you
I was also about to say that in my area also we say asggan for black. Tasggant for the feminine. We sometimes use to Arabic word k7l, but after making it shl7a: ak7li, tak7lit.
u welcome ! so what words would u use for black then ! i thought these are the most common ones
As SimplyMoroccan mentionned, I knew only ak7li and tak7lit… Well, and amoushay…
hehe ! ok Ak7li is an Arabic word ! I use it too after makin it in tashl7it as SM said … I believe that we can’t use the Asgan, Idili , or Ak7li to refer to ppl
I guess they r only used to refer to things only .
When I said feminine and masculine, I didn’t necessarily mean to qualify people.
And yeah, although it’s racist to call someone ak7li or asggan, there is a way stronger racist word for that.
Okay mot du jour :
Tamazirt which means homeland like the maghrebi “bled”
Keep dropping words here people.
Salam
A beautiful word:
Tafôkt = Sun.
One more:
Ayyôr = Moon.
And oh oh! Titrît for star. This is used as a feminine name, I tell ya!
ooo tanmirth bzzaf
yan urgaz = one man
i don’t know if you’ve already covered this but oho means no in tachl7it, i found it quite funny and interesting!
and apparently khyar is “okay”, i think.
Azul everybody
There is not much going on in this thread any more … what a pity. So I´ll try to give it some life again by throwing in some words I learded when I stayed with people of the region near Rissani in my last holidays.

Corrections are more than welcome…
If somebody wants more - just tell me…
If somebody has more words - or even better tips how to build sentences for me - i would be very happy
My special interest at the moment is to come to know how to say something like
" With all the best wishes " or " Salutations from my heart"
to end a letter…
sahâ bsaaav…

TANMIRT BZAFFFFFF Kazin, very nice of you to post so many phrases and words, i noted them down in my notebook . Much appreciated!

Heja LallaAicha
If you tell me how to send an Exel-file in this thread you can have my “dictionary” which contains about 600 Words and some (very short) phrases.
Is there anybody who can give me a bit of grammar; tell me how sentences are build so that I can use my words to express myself a little bit (at least in a very simple way)?
al doriadn ( till the next time)
Kazin
Hi Kazin,
well you can get a copy of the peace corps tachl7it PDF file which is in this thread , it has grammar rules, verbs etc.
also if you want to share your Excel file with us, just upload it onto a file sharing website such as http://rapidshare.com/ and then just post the link of the exact uploaded file here.
thanks for offering to share your works with us by the way
Kazin, what you posted is a mixture of Tashl7it and Tamazight. Let me give you guys my Tashl7it version of Kazin’s words, and let you notice the difference.
It’s worth mentioning that most of Kazin’s words are totally new to me.
