good then its just the normal american accent and so its very imtable :okay:

ahahaha, now i wonder if your accent would be imitable to me lol

well i speak like the average britt…not too posh but not too cockneyfied so im sure its imitable

niiicceeee :hap:

i’m hoping to get rid of my accent when i speak darija,
so i wont seem so zmagria when i visit morocco sometime lol :stuck_out_tongue:

lol just put in on thats wat i do…i like puttin accents on so wen i speak i just make it berberish and its fine…eventhough our family doesnt really have a berberish accent lol

dudeee, how do you “put it on”? hahaha

my mom is berber so when she speaks darija,
it’s so obvious to people that’s she not arab lol

easy! just over moroccanise it
oh cooooooooool is she berber??can she speak tshel7it?? i dnt have any close fam that r bebers lol na hun all alg/morocs have the beber accent thats y darija sounds the way it does coz of the beber influence bss7 moroccans have a more berber accent then us esp compared to us in the east of alg :stuck_out_tongue:

if you dont mind, how do you over moroccanise it (sorry i’m a bit slow), i think i have an idea of what you mean though

yeah she does, sometimes when she gets mad at me she’ll say something in chel7a, from then on i’m lost and i keep pestering her on what it means lol
but yeah, i know that the darija is influenced from some of the berber language, how does my mom have an accent in darija? so weird :stuck_out_tongue:

aww hunny i wish i could show u, its hard explaining hmmmmmmmm like how with words that end in ‘ah’ e.g daba a normal arab would pronouce it as dabeh whilst we would say dabaa with that ‘ah’ that is very darija lol hmmmm fhemti? what else?..the way we pronouce ‘ta2’ and ‘9a’ is also very berber which sounds different to how other arabs would say it

haha thats funny :stuck_out_tongue: so do u not know any tchel7it? and yeah its hard to see how ur mum can have an accent lol

oooohhh, i get what you’re saying…thankss

i barely know darija lol but i wish i could i know like several words but i cant form any simple sentences or anything, i can’t even understand it :stuck_out_tongue:
it is, she tells me people ask her where she’s from 'cause of her “obvious accent” lol

u mean tcl7it machi darija?? lol well if most of ya fam know darija then its no biggie if u dnt know it i suppose

i was talking about darija, then when i said “but…” i switched over to talking about tchl7it…sorry i didnt point that out lol
half of my family knows darija and the other half knows tchl7it, then again they known darija so i can at least understand them :stuck_out_tongue:

u dnt know darija?? r u crazy?? of course u do 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000x btta then me
well i dnt have tht worry coz none of my fam speak tmazghit… phew!

thank you, but i’m pretty sure that’s sarcasm right there hahaha

mimi how could u accuse me of such things??? wallah i sooooooooooooooooo am not :hap: inti kima 3icha daba lol

hahahaha, okay whatever you say mini…i dont know where you got that idea but okay

min 3a9li a binty lol  denial isnt good for u ya know :hap:
btw do u wat ‘bonkers’ is?

handk l7a9, but i’m not denying anything, am i? lol :stuck_out_tongue:
bonkers is another adjective for wild, crazy, nuts, psycho, ballistic

go girl! u know i told my american friend dat and she had no clue wat it was…i thought it was an english word only but clearly not

hahaha, i definitely know it, i dont use it often but once in awhile i’ll slip out a “are you bonkers!”
i actually tend to use uncommon words…such as queer…people use that to refer to someone as “gay” while i use it as its supposed to be used as referring to someone or something as “odd, unusual, weird”
but that’s just me :stuck_out_tongue:
