hi everyone im engaged to a moroccan i have learned some but its the writing that im having trouble with like why numbers are with letters in words ?
Welcome to the forum, Ashanti.
Your question is a frequently asked one. The Arabic alphabet has letters that have no equivalent in the Latin alphabet. That’s why in transcription, we use some numbers as symbols for Arabic letters that do not exist in English. The choice of these letters is not arbitrary, they represent Arabic letters that they look close to.
See you around.
