Looking forward to reading you on the forum.

hey David:) I’m new to this forum too (Ana Yallah Jdida  ). SimplyMoroccan, correct me if I’m wrong. My husband is Moroccan and I want to learn Darija very much and so far know only few phrases that my husband has taught me. Good Luck!

i’m impressed that a lot of non-native people, from all around the world, are interesed by darija.:hap:

Hi David, you’re welcome.

Yes, that’s correct in a way, but you an say too:
Anâ yallah jît = I just came.
Anâ bâqî jdida = I am still new.

You kind of had a mixutre of the two :).

Onc’Kaml 7ttâ howwa.
Kounouz 7ttâ hiyya.
Lloghât (les langues) 7ttâ hômâ.

Conclusion: 7ttâ + pronom personnel approprié.

@David : sorry to disturb your topic, but that is how we are here

L0L @ Lloghat smiliyya !
Dans ton exemple, il faut dire: w engliziyya wa franSiyya wa italiyya wa smiliyya 7ttâ hôma.

shôkran bzzaf (and sorry for lôrat instead of lôghat…)

L3afw :).
I understood that it was r as in réveil :hap:. Transcription indeed gets confusing!

I guess that you’re not awake yet, actually! Read my sentence over! It was not about you waking up, it was about the R letter :fouet:.

:pilot:

HA-HA! No, it was not a trilingual expression.
