And yes actually, your sentences need some corrections. But I can see that you know your vocabulary and made a good attempt to conjugate.

Mllî kanshôf klb f trîqî, kandôr w nhrb.

  • Plural of klb is klâb.
  • 7ît = because. Bâsh = for/to.
  • Anâ b3da = As for me.

The rest is about conjugation.

The most important is to try , isn’t it ?

So, blâ 7shôma, I try to correct some mistakes I think you did.

  • Kelbîn seems to be the dual, not the plural - I should say klâb myself.
  • I think that Bâsh means “for”, so if you want to say because, use “7ît” or “3la khâtâr” (MSA ?)
  • Fîn means in and not when - When = imtâ in Darija (wqtâsh in MSA)
  • Your sentence sounds like if you used the first person of plural for your verbs : kanshâfna means… nothing - if I wanted to say when I see one (of them), I should use : imtâ nshôf wa7d fîhôm
  • Trîq sounds to me better than trek and t and T are solar letters, so : TTrîq
  • I don’t know if we can say TTriq diyalî or Trîqî… lets wait lala Sublima answers this
  • I understood that Mun911 said that Duwr was a noun, not a verb. The verb should be dâr/idîr
  • kan or k or t before the verbs means that the action is running, like “ing” in English. So kanhrbna means … nothing (k + nhrb + na = present progressive + present simple/inaccompli + 1st person of plural of the preterit/accompli - too much for just one word !). The correct form is nhrb

Note to everyone: I try to correct everything, and you can see that lately many of your messages are still not corrected. Please bear with me :). Do not hesitate to remind me if I seem to forget, wâkhâ? Ma t7shmôsh (don’t be shy).

So let’s correct those corrections of corrections :).

Llâ, mâ kâynsh dual f Darija. Or at least, the dual is not expressed that way. We say: jôj klâb.

Fîn = where. Fînmmâ = wherever.
Wqtmmâ/mllî = whenever.
Wqtâsh is Darija too. And in this sentence, you can’t start it with an “imtâ”, because in Zitoun’s example it’s whenever and not just when.

As I said above, so you rather say: “mllî/wqtmma nshôf…”

Trek like in trekking ;).
Onc’Kamel is correct.

Dâr (past), idîr (present) = To do.
Dâr (past), idôr (present) = Tu turn. (D is prunounced more like a D than a d)

I have so many things to learn, it’s almost frightening!

Main problems:
-I know some words that i learned from hearing people talk.
I try to use them but i may make mistakes writing them down.
-I don’t know any grammatical rules. As you may have noticed,
i find verbs particularly hard to handle.

I am eager to learn, i wish to keep on posting my attemps at making sentences,
but i make so many mistakes, i afraid you’ll have a hard time correcting me.

SM: Zitoun is the nickname my father and my friends give me.
Have we met or been in contact before? I don’t know.
Allow me to present myself in the New Members Section, we’ll see from there.
Anyway, i hope and i am sure we’ll get to know each other.

Onc’Kamel: Your English is at least as good as mine so i’ll never dare to correct you
unless i notice something obviously wrong. Don’t hesitate to do the same, i also make
mistakes in English.
