Ahlan, anâ Amy.

Hello!

My name is Amy. I’ve been studying Arabic and Moroccan for a couple of months now, but I only recently stumbled upon this site. I’m a graduate student studying geography in Miami, Florida. I’ll be travelling to Morocco this summer with my parents. My dad is from Morocco, but he hasn’t been back in decades. I’m learning some basic Derija as a surprise. In May, I will be graduating with a Master’s degree in geography with a focus on Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Remote Sensing. I hope to make some connections with Moroccan universities to explore the possibility of future research projects in the region.

I look forward to communicating with others learning to speak Moroccan. Thanks!

Mr7ba bik Amy, welcome to the boards.
Where are you going to in Morocco? You never met your Moroccan family?
You’ll find many other members learning Darija like you. I hope that you won’t be shy ;).

See you around, and if you need anything, let me know.
