I’m going through the Peace Corps guide to Moroccan Arabic trying to learn new words and a few verbs stick out as being particularly odd, or multiple verbs are listed for the same concept and I’d like to know which ones are more appropriate for what.
In no particular order:
??? is listed as meaning things like “maltreat/destroy” and “mess up”. Is this a particularly bad kind of mistreatment, or is it mostly superficial?
??? and ??? are both listed for “occur”, whereas in MSA the first word appears to be more common, with the second reserved for describing someone deliberately doing something.
?? ??? is also listed as “dislike” - would it be right to use ??? for “like”, or is that not done?
