Translating 'mul ddar'

Hi guys!
Could you please tell me how can we translate ‘mul ddar’ into English? Literally it’s the house owner,but some Moroccans especially women use it to refer to their husbands.thank you in advance

you just answered yourself. it means husband.

depending on the context, either the husband or literally the person living in the house ,same as when used for women “moolat ddar”, the wife or the lady living in the house.
