The School of Humanities and Social Sciences invites applications for the position of Program Manager.
Reporting Line: Dean of SHSS
Major Duties and Responsibilities
* Support SHSS Dean to initiate, plan, and coordinate various projects, programs, services, and activities.
* Manage ARANAS (Arabic and North African Studies Summer program) program in coordination with OIP and School coordinators.
* Support SHSS Dean in designing and developing procedures and policies for the smooth running of SHSS.
* Support SHSS Dean in the preparation of a strategic plan for the School, the management of the budgets, the preparation of periodic and annual reports.
* Support SHSS Dean in modifying and printing new SHSS promotional literature and maintaining the SHSS web page
* Assist the coordinators in preparing the course schedules, and the school annual report
* Assist with the coordination of a variety of special School events
* Receive and maintain records of teaching applications
* Follow up the school budget
* Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* A BA, equivalent, or higher degree in English language, communication, translation or a related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Good written and oral communication abilities (in Arabic, French and English)
* Excellent organizational and relational skills
* Good computer skills
* Ability to adapt to different work situations and to perform multiple tasks
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Flexibility in time schedule and accountability in task achievement
* Sense of responsibility and commitment
