is it khassni ngolo ?

Here’s what i want to say: "I didn’t understand anything but i have to say… "

"mafhemtch walou olakin khassni ngolo… "

does that make sense?

Do Moroccans use “lakin” for “but”? coz that’s a very Fos7a word. In Algeria they say “bssa7” for “but” (if my memory serves me lol) :unsure:

yeah it’s olakin/wlakin as far as i know… are u sure bssa7 is used for “but” ? coz i think bssa7 would have a meaning closer to “sa7” which means “correct/true”, but Allaho 3lam, you could be right too

Thats what I thought when I first heard it, but I just checked and “bsse7” is correct for “but” along with “wlakin” as well )

and as for your sentence wouldn’t “lazim” suffice for “I have to” or " I should" e:g lazim ngolo, thats my thought anyway, but lets wait for a native to come along hehe :smiley:

so before all a lalla aisha , if mafhemtch is followed by walou , just use mafhemt …

" mafhemt walou walakin khasni ngoul … "

and yeah algerians use bsa7 for but :slight_smile:
