How to make the moroccan msemen

I know this is an older post, but I need help!

I LOOOOOOVE msemmen, and wanted to learn how to make it, but when I did, the dough took forever to rise.
Did I do something wrong?

maybe the room was not warm enough,maybe too little yeast. as for the recipe i found better when you spread the dough to make layers to oil it(with butter and oil) then spread some durum flour or fine semolina then go on this way. but i still have to change something to make them more soft after they’re cooked. mhm
