Faculty Position in Public Relations/Advertising/Promotional Communication

TThe School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane has one new opening in Public Relations/Advertising/Promotion available in Communication Studies commencing Spring 2009. Candidates should hold a relevant PhD degree, or an MA coupled with professional experience in the field. New PhDs are highly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate must be able to teach a range of undergraduate courses in Communication Studies, including Public Relations, Advertising and Promotional Communication. The candidate will also be expected to teach upper division courses in his/her specialty and other courses as needed by the program. Expertise in relevant computer software is highly valued. All teaching is conducted in English, and a working knowledge of French and/or Arabic is recommended. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
THE UNIVERSITY:
Al Akhawayn University is a private English-language university in Morocco built on the American model of higher education. The university is composed of approximately 1,300 undergraduate and master’s level students in a residential campus environment. The main campus of the university is located in Ifrane, a resort town in the Middle Atlas Mountains approximately 60km from the Imperial cities of Fez and Meknes. The university also has a campus center in the commercial center of Casablanca with a focus on professional and executive programs. There are approximately 100 academic faculty members; about 50% of whom are international.
