Exercise 7 - Time in Darija / Le temps en darija

17.35 ---------hadi l khmsa w khmsa w tlatin
01.10----------hadi l wahed w qsmayn
06.25----------hadi s-stta w khmsa w 3shrin

Only correction, we say lw7da for reading time, and not lwâ7d.
Le rest est bon :).
Ca va? Tu n’as pas de problèmes avec la prononciation?

Read time in Moroccan Arabic:
08:55
09:45
17:20

[large]Bes-sif.[/large]kan-den 3ndi mushkil kbir b pronunciation,walakin fach (fyya) f l-mgrib,ghadi n-tmsh-sha b d-dftar w s-stilu!

C’est une bonne solution?..au moins je pourrai dessiner!

MDR ! Trop bonne celle de marcher avec le cahier et stylo ! Très bien dit en plus. Mais non, je crois que tu t’en sortiras bien.

Assalamu alaikum

Good :). You’re good in reading numbers, but how about using some specific time expressions? Quarter, minus five, etc.
The lesson about time expressions is over here.

on m’a dit qu’on utilisait lu7da pour dire une heure pile, au lieu de wa7da…
tu as des précisions là-dessus SM ?

1:00 hadi lu7da
12:55 hadi lwaHda ql qsm

hadi tse’od qll qsm
hadi 3shra lla rob

@ Habrifaqir and Marilyn:
You made the same mistake, you do not add L to the hours, and you actually should. We say hâdî l3shra, and not hâdî 3shra.

08:55 = Hâdî tts3ôd qll qsm.
09:45 = Hâdî l3shra lla rôb.
17:20 = Hâdî lkhmsa w tolot.
Next:
14:30 ----> hadî jôj w nSS
03:45 ----> hadî rb3a llâ rôb
08:05 ----> hadî tmnya w qsm
I just noticed that you Kounouz did the same mistake here: not “defining” the hours, while you didn’t miss that in other parts of the exercise.

[c] So?! Lol I am sorry but I didn’t understand the last post…
Why don’t we go on with hours, since that’s a post about it?
Lol If you want, I can give you some more hours, even if I guess that’s not my part of the job:
[/c][c][/c]
7:50
8:40
2:15
3:00

Sure, you can suggest those and I’ll be around for correction. My last posts were corrections of the answers given by the other members.

Oh, so that’s all okay if I got what you mean?
Thank you very much, I definetely love the atmosphere of this forum!
On the others, (where you do not learn ANYTHING), everybody is always arguing with each other.
Here, that’s calm, cool…
Congratulations, if the world were as cool as this online community, that’d be soooo … I can’t even find the word!

Not sure I got what you meant here :).

You’re welcome! The forum here is basically for learning, and helping people who learn Moroccan Arabic. But it doesn’t have to be calm all the time :D.

‘‘Not sure I got what you meant here smile.’’

Well, i just wanted to say; That’s okay, I got what you mean. I am sorry i made a little mistake.
Sure it doesn’t have to be calm all the time, but that’s a better atmosphere to work with Peace and Love, isn’t it? lol

Yep, you’re right :).

Back to the exercise:
7:50
tmenia qll qesmayn
ts3od qll tolot
juj w arb3a
tlata nisan
tmenia qll qesmayn

Two corrections:

 • You have to make the hours defined: tts3ôd, jjôj, ttlâlta…
 • Quarter = rb3. Four = rb3a.

Read the following hours in Moroccan Arabic:
12:35
23:05
03:55
