To answer the questions, you’ll have to watch the video.

This is a sitecom that used to be on the Moroccan TV a few months ago. Samya Aqryo is so funny, and this is just worth watching. :wink:

After watching, answer the questions below to make sure you understood everything.
Answers should be in Darija for you to practice your vocabulary. Make just simple sentences.

C’est un sitcome qui était sur la télé marocaine ça fait quelque mois. Samya Aqryo est trés marrant, et ça mérite de lui consacrer quelques minutes pour regarder. :wink:

Aprés avoir regardé la vidéo, répondez aux questions ci dessous pour vous assurer d’avoir tout compris.
Les réponses doivent être en darija pour que vous puissiez utiliser votre vocabulaire. Faites des phrases trés simples.

Moi, j’ai une autre question: comment sait on que l’actrice qui fait la journaliste égyptienne est une fausse? :smiley:

Moi je vais pas répondre à cette question, mais je connais la réponse bien évidemment :^^:
Il y’a un indice autre que son accent fort marocain !

Je crois que c’est le fait de l’existence du dialect égyptien sur la vidéo qui fait que les gens sont intimidés pour faire cet exercice. :blink:

Here is the transcription of the first part of the video. It’s a mixture of Darija and a faked-Egyptian accent.

Wife: mr7ba bik a lalla.
Guest: Allah ybârik fîkî. Dana wallahi l3azîm ba7eb el-maghreb kitîr kitîr.
Husband: b7al ila kantfrrj f moslsal.
W e7na kaman ben7ebb Masr bzzaf…kitîr kitîr…kitîr kitîr. 3andokom mosalsal masri 7elw, ismo “3abbas labyad fel yoom leswid”.
Guest : Da goozek dammo khafeef bishakl.
Wife: Shukran.
Husband: W enty dammek sharbat. Ashna hiyya sharbat? Ashna hiyya sharbat?
Guest: 3omrak zort masr?
Husband: Ana? 3mmri ma ftt lmaghrib.
Guest: 2al eeh?
Wife: 2aal ya3ni ma gatlosh forsa.
Husband: aah.
Guest: ya 7arâm.
Husband: ma fish visa, mzayyarîn.

Donc voilà, c’était la transcription d’une partie du début de la vidéo. C’est un mélange entre darija et un faux accent égyptien.

Are kounouz answers right? I didn’t get a lot of it, but I try to translate the part SM has written down:

Wife: Welcome oh woman!
Guest: May God take care of you (I think it was something else :frowning: ) [Dana] I swear by God I need to like Morocco a lot, a lot.
Husband: [b7al ila] I see on the TV show. And [e7na] also I like Egypt a lot… a lot, a lot… a lot, a lot. You have a Egyptian TV show [7elw] named " 3abbas labyad fel yoom leswid" ( I only understand from that today and is Abbas here a name???)
Guest: [Da goozek dammo khafeef bishakl]
Wife: Thank you
Husband: And you [dammek sharbat.] What is [sharbat]? What is [sharbat]?
Guest: Have you once (???) visited Egypt?
Husband: Me? [3mmri ma ftt] Morocco.
Guest: [2al eeh?]
Wife: [2aal ya3ni ma gatlosh forsa.] (ya3ni= that means)
Husband: ah
Guest: Too bad (7aram = forbidden by islamic Law)
Husband: There isn’t a visa, [mzayyarîn]

Still a lot I didn’t get and I’m not used to translate to English. I hope there is something right.

Too hard for me :blink:

The only thing I can add is : 3mmri ma ftt lmaghrib - I understand the " I have never … Morocco" so I guess ft = to leave, “I’ve never left / been out of Morocco”
Did I guess right ? :unsure:
