english names

hello. can any one translate the english names chloe and lily into darija and msa thanks.

Welcome to the forum, mintea. Please feel free to introduce yourself in the new members section.

Let me explain something: What I’ll be doing for you is write the names in Arabic letters, the way they sound in English. It has nothing to do with translation, since these names have no specific meanings (correct me if I am wrong).

So here are the names:

Chloe = [large]???[/large]

Lilly = [large]???[/large]

thankyou very much for your help,

Sure every name has some kind of meaning:

Chloe means “blooming” http://www.thinkbabynames.com/meaning/0/Chloe

Lilly comes from the name of a flower and it is also a shortform of Elisabeth

Ah, right. But what people basically want is their very same names written in different script, so that if a native reads them, it will sound all the same, and not like an alien expression ;).

But mintea, if you actually meant translating the meanings of your names as Nuwwara stressed, then it’s a different thing.
