When I lived in Morocco, I used to hear my friends use an expression that translated literally to “cook your heart.” As in: men will cook your heart.
But I can’t remember - does that expression mean break your heart? Or make you angry? Or something else?

it’s “tayeb lik gelbek”, yes “tayeb” means to cook, but in this context it means to make it warm/on fire, & it symbolizes putting so much pressure on your heart because of sth (love, problem…etc)
Ah reminds me - what does “shireer” mean? I thought it meant “devilish” but with the experts around her - the true meaning will be revealed/

Ah - so the phrase always has a negative connotation?
It can have a positive one too, like when you’re telling some1 that your heart “has been cooked” loving him…
