It depends on the country’s name, Misr is feminin, like America, Saudia, Al Jazair (Algeria)…so it’s refered to as feminin, though the word “Misr” in Fos7a is masculin.

yeah, Like M7moud said, we refer to msr as feminine, there’re a famous Egyptian song almost every arabic speaking country knows it too which says “masr heya ommi” (= egypt is my mother) that it became a cliche
