i have no access to moroccan music, and I’m lazy to search, my only access is to alkayssar’s songs… but i’ll try to stick even to one program or tv show on 2m and watch regularly.
'bout living in morocco, i just want to ask about education system over there, and thought of opening a thread on the culture board, but didnt know what or how to ask…

if i was talking about here I would focus on the private ones of course, but I dont know is the difference is huge or not in morocco
actually i want to ask about languages of study, cause as i told you b4 that we all had that idea that u speak french, but recently I’ve found many moroccans are fluent in english…

ok ok ( yes there is a huge diff between public and private schools )
first , we r gonna talk about public schools :
the first year ( at d age of 6 ) : first letters of fus7a and some words
second year : words and sentences
3rd year : we start french and grammar n conj for fus7a
we keep like that till the 6th year <==== here it ends the elementry school
now we start another 3 years in what we call in morocco " College " ( french + fus7a )
then the high school : we keep studying lfus7a (but it depends on if u chose science or litterature )
for science u only have one to 2 hours of fus7a per week and 5 hours of french
and u gotta choose between spanish and english and german as a 2nd foreign language
for letterature ofcourse they have more hours of fus7a … and they have to choose too a 2nd foreign language
after the high school , there r two ways : - une ecole superieure ( if u wanna get a job )
- the university ( a waist of time , only feeeeew ppl can survive
for the first category , all studies are in french …
for the 2nd one : it depends , if ur studyin science everythin is in french
if ur studyin english literature everythin is in english ofcourse
if ur studyin arabic litetature or linguistics or sth related to religion , u study in arabic
PS- i only talked about languages in our education , ofcourse we start maths in the first year of school
and other subjects like islamic education and hist/geo …
