merci, amico
et les verbes en “re” alors? on les appelle aussi les “iréguliers”? car ils se conjuguent tous dans la meme facon… je ne sais pas
mais pour moi, a l’école, nous avons appris comme ca :hap:
merci encore! tu peux aider plus ici, on ne peut pas faire confiance a mon francais
okaaaay let’s leave the boring “theory” and move to “practical” for a bit
here are the basic phrases, the everyday things:
bonjour - hello (good day literally)
salut - also hello, but also used for bye, too! so, like “salaam”, it can be used at either end of a conversation
(comment) ca va? - how are you?
ca va (bien) - good, in response to “how are you?”
ca ne va pas (bien) - not good; it only makes sense, if i put “good” to also put the opposite reply, if you’re not too good
[“bien” means “good”, but so does “bon”. you can only say c’est bon (it is good) for FOOD, for anything else, like “that’s good”, you say “c’est BIEN” with time, we’ll get deeper into this and it will become more clear inchallah. if not, don’t hesitate to ask!]
merci - thankyou
et toi/vous? - and you? (toi is for younger people, vous is for older people or for respect, see back to the first post on this thread, toi and vous is same difference like tu and vous)
comment t’appeles-tu? - what is your name?
je m’appelle … - i’m called …
quel age as-tu? - how old are you?
j’ai … ans - i’m … years old
ou habites-tu? - where do you live?
j’habite a …/en … - i live in … (after a you would say a town’s name, but for a country, you use en IF IT’S FEMININE, but if it’s masculine, you use au, so for example, you would say EN france, but AU maroc… i guess you’d have to use a dictionary/ask people to see which countries are feminie/masculine)
quelle est la date de ton anniversaire? - when is your birthday
mon anniversaire, c’est le … - my birthday is on the …
i think that’s it for now :hap:
but seeing as i stopped at birthdays, i can’t keep you curious LOL
just a little on how dates work, i guess for that we have to know some numbers!
1 un
2 deux
trois
quatre
cinq
six
sept
huit
neuf
10 dix
onze
douze
treize
quatorze
quinze
seize
dix-sept
dix-huit
dix-neuf
20 vingt
vingt et un
vingt-deux
vingt-trois … (and so on)
30 trente
40 quarante
50 cinquante
soixante
soixante-dix (like 60+10 for 70)
quatre-vingt
quatre-vingt-dix (again, like 80+10)
100 cent
1000 mille
you add a number before cent/mille to make another number, if that makes sense:
like, trois milles is 3 thousand
deux cents is 2 hundred
if there’s another number you want and isn’t there, you can ask inchallah but i left out the ones i think can be made using the patterns and numbers that are there already. but, like i said, ask
months, in order:
janvier
fevrier
mars
avril
mai
juin
juillet
aout
septembre
octobre
novembre
décembre
and days of the week, starting monday:
lundi (monday)
mardi
mercredi
jeudi
vendredi
samedi
dimanche (sunday)
so for dates, you say 1) THE 2) NUMBER 3) MONTH, so for example:
the 7th february (MY BIRTHDAY LOL) would be le sept fevrier
the 19th july = le dix-neuf juillet
but if you want the date with the day, like for example today is SUNDAY THE 30TH NOVEMBER
you would say: DIMANCHE, le trente novembre
another one, let’s pick christmas day this year, it’s a thursday, so that would be:
jeudi le vingt-cinq décembre
JOYEUX NOEL (merry christmas) << just thought i’d throw that in there hehe
so, if anybody has any questions, i’m here
