Ssalâm "alaykom (to use the same transliteration system we got on the website ;)) Here is a classical game for learners/beginners of any language, and that you may be already familiar with: Every player has to suggest a word in darija and give its meaning, but not any word, your word has to start with the last letter of the previous word. Example: First person: Mrawât = women. The next player gets a word starting with T: Tmr = dates. So the next one must get us a word starting with R. NB: I put mrawât in plural, because when I kept it as mra, I couldn’t think of any word in darija starting with a o\_o! Freaky! ---

The word itself is correct, and we will not take transliteration into consideration that much, since as you said before, each one has learned it a different way. [My transliteration: Namosiyyât] And it’s okay to have the same letter again, it means an extra entry for T if you’re taking note of the vocabulary ;). So T like … Teyyeb = to cook. ---

You would have made it easier if you suggested dâr (house) instead of dârna (our house), because you’re making me stuck with “a” à\_à. I would get you plenty if we were playing in Berber. (Hence, almost all masculine word start with “a” in Berber lol) Now for your sentence, it’s : Yallah nmshiw l darna. Nmshiw = the “n” in the beginning of the verb is necessary to mark the present/future tense, and “l” stands for “to” that was missing in your sentece. Ah the “a”… I am stuck! I will come back with a word, or will ask you gently to make it dâr instead 🙂 ---
